Our Data Principles

At Palindrome Data we believe in the value and predictive power of data and analytics; it’s at the center of everything we do. We take our responsibility to both the data owners and those impacted by our insights very seriously.

Our responsibility goes beyond privacy, security and regulatory compliance, and includes values and principles to which we are firmly committed. These principles include the importance of fairness, egalitarianism, consumer-protection, and only tackling problems we believe are ethical and good for society.

These are lofty goals, and we strive to reach them by only working with those who share our values, and are committed to using data and analytics for good. We are acutely aware that advanced analytics and big data will introduce biases with potentially large adverse effects. We work tirelessly to recognize and counter these biases in order to reach a representation of reality that is true, fair, and empowering to consumers and organisations alike.

There is no end that would justify the means of inappropriate use of an individual’s data. Good data custodianship and uncompromising data privacy are good for business; those who have this at their core will ultimately be successful.
